Holiday Card
This holiday season, I decided to make a festive card to send to some friends and people I’ve collaborated with this year.
I experimented with a few ideas at first - bells, evergreens, and all the classic holiday motifs - but nothing really clicked. I just knew I wanted something simple, visual, and a bit unexpected.
After a few days of sketching and second-guessing, I settled on “Christmas flowers,” which felt festive and familiar.
I started with a few sketches, painted the best in watercolour, scanned them, and refined the composition. In the end, it became a postcard ready to send out over the holidays.
It was a short project, but one I really enjoyed making (and honestly, a nice little creative break in the middle of all the holiday hustle).
